Information Desk about Shuttering Plywood and Usage
Shuttering Plywood is a highly densified plywood with a smooth film coating on both sides of the faces and is used primarily for cement formworks during construction.
At least 9 layers of core veneers are pressed in a high pressure pressing machine at high temperatures. 9 core layers plus the faces on both sides plus the film layers (Dynae Film) on top of them. This lends the plywood extra strength and load bearing capacity.
The plywood is generally pressed to a thickness of 12 mm with a density of 750 kg / cubic metre to ensure it supports the weight of poured concrete.
Dimensionally stable and structurally strong, it absorbs less water due to excellent sealing and provides a very high static ben strength to support all types of formworks.
The shuttering ply itself is manufactured in specialised way to withstand, weight, moisture, temperature during casting of concrete. Mainly an additional number of layers, and application of films (moisture preventing) are manufacturing criteria.
Shuttering Ply is generally used to make the casting of concrete as roof, walls, drains, highways, pillars, etc. Concrete in wet state is poured on it to give any desired shape.
